Baul Fakiri Festival was organised at Gorbhanga, Nadia from Apr 7-9, 2023. around 110 Baul artists participated in the festival.The festival was inaugurated by the Khadi District Officer Malay Biswas and General Manager, District Industries Centre Debabrata Ray along with eminent Baul artists Babu Fakir, Arman Fakir, Rina Das Baul, Golam Fakir, Shyamsundar Das Baul, Khaibar Fakir, Akkas Fakir. SDO Moumita Saha and BDO Shamsood Jamal graced us with their presence during the mela. The festival showcased Baul and Fakiri music of the region . During the second day of the festival a CD was launched called Parer Kandari which is a compilation of 47 Baul songs by 22 young Baul artists.
